MedCore Health Systems Data Breach

What Happened

MedCore Health Systems reported a data breach to the California Attorney General on July 10, 2026, affecting approximately 847,000 individuals. The breach occurred when an unauthorized third party gained access to MedCore's patient management database between May 14 and May 28, 2026. Exposed information includes Social Security Numbers, medical record numbers, health insurance details, dates of birth, and in some cases, financial account information used for billing. MedCore has notified affected individuals and is offering two years of complimentary credit monitoring.
